Nandamuri Tarakaratna is no more. He was undergoing treatment in the hospital for a few days and breathed his last a little while ago. Tarakaratna was also present at the launch of the Lokesh Yuvagalam Padayatra on January 27. Shortly after the padayatra started in Kuppam, he collapsed while walking. He was immediately taken to Kuppam Hospital. From there he was taken to Bangalore Narayana Hridiya and treated. But his condition has become worse for two days. He breathed his last today. The first 45 minutes turned out to be crucial as Tarakaratna collapsed in a heap. At that time he was not conscious.. the brain did not get oxygen from the heart. After doing CPR for a long time, Tarakaratna’s pulse was received. He was rushed to Bangalore by his family members that night. He was treated at Narayana Hrudayalaya. A balloon was placed in the heart and it was seen that there was no obstruction to breathing and blood circulation. But Tarakaratna remained in a coma due to brain damage. Fluctuations in sugar levels make treatment difficult. Family members made all efforts to recover Tarakaratna. Foreign doctors were brought in and given treatment. Tarakaratna Babai Nandamuri watched Balakrishna’s treatment closely. From the time he fell ill in the heap, he took care of all the arrangements. But the doctors announced that his health had deteriorated due to the increase in infection along with brain damage. Nandamuri Tarakaratna breathed his last after 23 days of struggle.
