India Test veteran Ajinkya Rahane and wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant practiced in the Nets in Mumbai on Monday as they prepare for the tour of South Africa. He took help from former cricketer Vinod Kambli. Kambli, who played 17 Tests for India from 1993 to 1995, gave some batting tips to Rahane, who has been struggling for runs in Red Ball cricket for the past two years. Rahane lost another disappointing vice-captaincy in the Test series against New Zealand at home.
Rahane has averaged more than 17 in Tests this year. However, if he gets a place in Playing XI, he has the potential to become a key player in South Africa. Rahane trained in Mumbai with Kambli, his son Cristiano and Indian player Pant. ” Ajinkya & Rishab are happy to help in training for the upcoming South Africa series. I shared some valuable thoughts with them about the SA situation. My best wishes to them for the #SAvIND series. ” Kambli tweeted.
Was a pleasure to help Ajinkya & Rishabh train for the upcoming South Africa series. Shared some valuable insights with them about the SA conditions. My best wishes to them for #SAvIND series.

Opening batsman Mayank Agarwal took blessings from his grandmother before leaving for a tour of South Africa. He is likely to start the innings with his Bengaluru teammate KL Rahul. He reveals that he never left home without taking a blessing from his grandmother. “No tour can start without it. I need Grandma’s blessings before every competition. Their blessings are the foundation on which I build myself. Emotions and memories are priceless, ”Mayank tweeted. Rohit has been ruled out of the three-Test series in South Africa from Monday with a hamstring injury. That position is currently vacant. It remains to be seen whether Rahane or KL Rahul will be the vice-captain.
No tour starts without this. Grandmom’s teeka and blessings before every competition. It’s been so for as long as I can recall. Their blessings are the foundation on which I build myself.
