IND vs SA U-19 World Cup: India started with a victory in the Under-19 World Cup. Team India won their first match by 45 runs against South Africa at the Providence Stadium in Guyana. Batting first, Team India were all out for 232 in 46.5 overs. South Africa were then bowled out for 187 in 45.4 overs. Captain Yash Dhul and spinner Vicky Ostwal played a key role in Team India’s victory. Captain Yash Dhule played the captain’s innings with 82 runs. Vicky bowled super fast and took five wickets fast. He was named Player of the Match.
Batting first, India suffered a major setback early on. The openers lost wickets by 11 runs. Sheikh Rashid and captain Yash Dhule then pitched the innings. Established a 71-run partnership for the third wicket. Rashid was dismissed for 31 off 54 balls. From here, he formed important partnerships with Yash, Nishant Sindhu, Raj Bawa and Kaushal Tambe and crossed the 200 mark. However, with captain Yash being run out, the team collapsed to 232 in 46.5 overs.

South Africa did not get off to a good start as they chased down a 233-run target. The first setback came for South Africa in the first over. For India, Rajwardhan Hungergeker added John Cunningham to the pavilion in the maiden over. Valentin’s team then put on a 58 – run partnership for the second wicket with David Bravis.
