ICC U19 World Cup: The ICC U19 World Cup kicks off on January 14. Under the captaincy of Yash Dhool, the Indian team will enter the tournament. Team India (U19 Indian team) is the most successful team in the history of the tournament. Team India won the title in 2000, 2008, 2012, 2018. The last three times the Indian team has been successful in reaching the finals. The ICC has decided to host 48 matches in four countries in the West Indies.
This time 16 teams are going to participate in this crucial tournament. These 16 teams were divided into four groups. India are in Group B with South Africa, Ireland and Uganda. Fans expected India and Pakistan to appear in the same group but it did not happen. Defending champions Bangladesh, England, Canada and the UAE are in Group A, while Group C includes Pakistan, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe and Papua New Guinea. Scotland joined the group after New Zealand withdrew due to Corona. Hosts West Indies, Australia and Sri Lanka are in Group D.
Matches start on January 14th
Group stage matches will be held from January 14 to January 22. The final match will be played on February 5. India will begin its tour of South Africa on January 15. The team had to suffer defeat in the final against Bangladesh last time but this time under the captaincy of Yash Dhool, the team is hoping to make India champions once again. All matches start at 7:30 PM IST.
