Child artist Joseph Manu James (31), who started his career as a director, died prematurely before the release of his first film. James, who had been undergoing treatment at Rajagiri Hospital in Ernakulam, Kerala for some time, died on February 25. Doctors said he died of hepatitis. The Mollywood film industry is in mourning after the death of young Malayalam director Joseph Manu James’ directorial “Nancy Rani” just days before its release. The last rites were held on Sunday (February 26) at Kuravilangad in Kerala’s Kottayam district. Many celebrities are mourning James’ untimely death on social media.

Joseph Manu James entered the film industry as a child actor. James acted as a child actor in the 2004 film ‘I’m Curious’ directed by Sabu James. Besides Malayalam, he also worked as an assistant director in Kannada and Hindi film industries. Joseph Manu James has a wife and elder sisters.
